DIAGNOSTIC OUTPATIENT IMAGING - ABOUT US

Dear Doctors:

We are pleased to inform you of the opening of Diagnostic Outpatient Imaging as of Monday, September 27, 1999. This is El Paso's only radiology imaging center 100% owned and operated by local radiologists. We are centrally located behind Bassett Center near the intersection of Montana and Geronimo. We offer:

1. Superconducting Open MRI. This is a new hybrid design MRI. It is built on an open platform, but uses a superconducting magnet (as do closed MRIs). It gives closed MRI quality on an open MRI.

2. Multislice CT.

3. Ultrasound.

4. Recovery - Allows us to perform CT, U/S, fluoroscopic and even MRI guided biopsies in an outpatient setting, at substantially reduced costs.

5. State-of-the-art Information Systems. It doesn't matter how wonderful the radiology equipment is, if the reports are not available and the films cannot be found. Our information system includes:
   1. Electronic Archive & Online Access. Our "file room" will be a 200 gigabyte redundant array of hard disk drives with several layers of backup. Images can be printed, sent over E-mail or viewed by the referring physician on our website.
   2. Electronic Report Distribution. Reports will be distributed by e-mail or fax. We can also send reports by our courier the day after the patients exam. Timely information delivery is a medical necessity. Please contact us if you would like advice about information system upgrades.
